How We Got Our Start

Mauro Vischi, owner/sole trader of Marine Vessel Maintenance has become a master of his craft. His commitment to quality workmanship, exceptional services and incomparable customer care keep our long term clients coming back again and again.

Mauro has a long line of varied experience in the Marine Industry, from skippering back in his homeland Italy to chartering boats from Turkey to Egypt and boat maintenance on the coast of Sardegna.

​

After arriving in Perth in 1998, Mauro started working with Wooden Boat Works as a Boat Builder and trainer/assessor and there his skill and passion as a shipwright brought him to working on the Dyufken, Leuwin and various projects including construction of wooden dinghies and repairs.

​

His love for this craft never left him, as he continued in his own business, Marine Vessel Maintenance.

​

Mauro continues to work with wooden and fibreglass boats in construction, repairs, surveys thus earning him a reputation as a well respected shipwright and craftsman in the community of Western Australia.

This family company has never stop improving, and will continue to expand our offerings based on how we can best serve our boat enthusiasts & yachting clients.
